See balloons for the grand opening of Lidl in Fresh Meadows

The long awaited supermarket, LiDl is all set to open in Fresh Meadows on July 31 at 8am with fanfare.

The ribbon cutting is at 7:30am.

This is on 187-04 Horace Harding Expressway at the former location of Michaels.

According to their press statement, At the grand opening event, the first 100 customers in line before the store opens at 8:00 a.m. will receive a special gift card ranging from $5 to $100 each. Shoppers can also sample Lidl’s award-winning assortment and take advantage of special giveaways.

Another location at the Glen Oaks at the local shopping center is also slated to open this year as work is completing on time.

Lidl has more than 12,000 stores in 32 countries with 360,000 employees.
