Second measles outbreak reported in Nassau County

The Nassau County health department reported of second outbreak of measles and that person may have exposed to others.

This is from Mineola area who traveled to Mahattan between September 11 and 14.

Anyone with rash and fever are to report to a doctor for check up due to contagious.

This is the 2nd measles case reported in Nassau County.

From September 11 and 14, the person was a commuter using LIRR from Mineola to Penn Station via Jamaica and Hempstead. The person was at Noches de Colombia restaurant during the same dates.

Noches de Columbia Restaurant, 204 Jericho Turnpike in Mineola between the hours of 9 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

MTA shuttle from LIRR Mineola Station to LIRR Hempstead Station between 2:30 and 5 p.m.

LIRR Hempstead Station to LIRR Jamaica Station between the hours of 3 and 6 p.m.

LIRR Jamaica Station to New York Penn Station between the hours of 3:50 and 6:30 p.m.

New York Penn Station to LIRR Hempstead Station between the hours of 10 p.m. and 2:30 a.m.
