School crossing struck by vehicle dead in Queens

Police closed off the intersection of Woodhaven Blvd and Atlantic Avenue reporting a school crossing guard struck by vehicle died. This was a result of a dump truck in Woodhaven.

The incident was reported around 8am this morning.

A school crossing guard was struck and killed by a dump truck in Queens on Friday, police said.

Her name was not immediately released. The dump truck driver remained at the scene and was not arrested.
