Saranac Lake male arrested stemming from a domestic dispute

On November 3, 2025, New York State Police members arrested Dustin A. Yarrish, age 33, from Saranac Lake, NY, on charges of criminal contempt in the first degree, criminal mischief in the fourth degree, and aggravated family offense.

The incident occurred at approximately 11:28 a.m. at a residence on Cantwell Way in the town of St. Armand. Troopers were informed of a domestic dispute in progress. Their investigation revealed that Yarrish became upset with the victim, leading to a verbal argument. He then assaulted the victim by attempting to take away their cell phone, which prevented the victim from contacting law enforcement. Further investigation also confirmed that there was an active order of protection in place, safeguarding the victim from Yarrish.
