Runaround here and there for you from ConEd

Today, most residents received their ConEd bills. The due date is November 1, 2022 which means ConEd must receive the payment by then or before. If late to pay, ConEd must be notified for extension. Calls to ConEd usually wait for a minimum of 30 minutes before connecting to a representative for extension that may or may not be in your favor.

So within two weeks pay up or ConEd will ask for another deposit.

When asked why such short term notice always?

Here is ConEd reply, Read the meter thru automated via online.

Get it. Read the meter thru online.

So if online is not connected, try again until the network is established.

That's Delay 1.

Next comes, enter the info to the billing system which must be verified by authorized parties involved.

That's Delay 2.

Then mail out all via automated processing in cooperation with the USPS system which is an additional manpower task.

That's Delay 3.

All bills mailed out and when residents get them depends on the delivery routes setup by the USPS.

That's Delay 4.

Finally, residents get the bill and pay up without excuses.

That's Delay 1 + Delay 2 + Delay 3 + Delay 4 = no delays for you.

Enjoy.
