Roosevelt man charged with murder in Hempstead

Homicide Squad Detectives have identified the victim as Brenda Guadalupe Alfaro-Alcantara, of Hempstead. 

Homicide Squad reports the arrest of Jose W. Funes-Zabala, 43, of Roosevelt. He is charged with Murder 2nd degree and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. He was arraigned on Monday, October 7, 2024 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
