Rockville Centre man busted for weapon possession

The Third Squad reports the arrest of a Rockville Center man for Criminal Possession of a Weapon that occurred on Sunday, July 21, 2019 at 01:40 A.M. in Hempstead.

According to detectives, while out conducting an investigation for an unrelated incident, Third Precinct detectives saw a group of people standing behind a vehicle on Stewart Avenue. As the detectives approached they observed defendant Latrell Ofurhie, 19, of 922 Cranbrook Street, Rockville Center, attempting to hide a black handgun and was placed under arrest.

Defendant Latrell Ofurhie is charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2 degree and Criminal Possession of a Firearm. He will be arraigned on Sunday, July 21, 2019 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead. (From NCPD)
