Robbery to shooting on Long Island

Police closed off Maple Road in Amityville reporting a robbery suspect was shot during pursuit by police. The suspect robbed a taxi cab driver in the vicinity and the Suffolk County police rushed to the scene. This is when the suspect took out a gun during the pursuit and the officer returned fire.

EMS is working to transport the bullet suspect to a local hospital in cuffs to the gurney crying.

No officer was injured from bullets but transported to local hospital by ambulance.

Chopper is now landing to take the bullet suspect to a local hospital. It’s the bullet suspect’s first ride in a chopper to a hospital with all the treatments available.
