Robbery investigation at the Garden City mall

The NCPD reports a robbery incident at the local mall in Garden City. This is at the Macy's inside the Roosevelt Field Mall. The incident was reported on Wednesday, around 11:30am when a suspect entered the store and walked toward the jewelry collection. Then smashed the display glasses and walked away with $30,000 worth of diamond necklaces.

Police described the suspect as male, 5'7" around 25 years old wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with black face mask, white gloves, black pants and black sneakers.

There were no injuries.
