Robbery investigation across Borough Hall

The NYPD is investigating a robbery and assault incident across the Queens Borough Hall on Queens Blvd near Union Turnpike.

This is in Kew Gardens.

The incident was reported on August 12 around 1:20pm when a suspect entered the discount store and removed merchandise. Then tried to walk out without paying. This is when the store worker tried to stop but was assaulted. Then the suspect took off with the merchandise.

EMS transported the victim to a local hospital and has been released.
