Robbery incident at an intersection in Glen Oaks

Police reported a male walking around the intersection of Little Neck Parkway and Union Turnpike targeting vehicles while panhandling robbed a woman. This is on the westbound Union Turnpike intersection. The female victim had her purse to open for donation as a courtesy to the homeless male. Instead the perp, male, snatched the purse from the victim and took off on foot toward northbound 254 Street to Little Neck Parkway.

Drivers are advised to keep their windows closed.

EMS treated the victim who was shaken up.

Ongoing investigation.
