Robberies to mugging in Queens

More victims mugged than robbed in Queens. The difference is robbery used weapons and assaults.

For the weekends, more than 100 victims fell through either one of the three crime incidents in Queens.

The latest incident today is on Merrick Blvd and 104th Avenue in Jamaica.

Astoria reported the most mugging while commercial robberies spiked in the same vicinity. Northern Blvd in Long Island City reported robberies by suspects using mopeds.

Jamaica Avenue and 172nd Street reported a drive by robbery at knifepoint.

Farmers Blvd reported two robberies where suspects stimulated firearms toward the victims and took off in a vehicle.

Police released the surveillance pictures of the suspects wanted for robbing a 70 year old in Kew Garden Hills. The incident took place at 141 St and 78 Ave on Wednesday, April 19 around 11:30am.
