Robberies targeting victims leaving the mall in Elmhurst

Police are increasing patrols at the local mall on Queens Blvd in Elmhurst after victims reported robberies.

The latest incident occurred on July 8 around 8pm when a suspect robbed a female victim of her belongings while exiting the mall.

The victim was injured during the incident and EMS transported her to a local hospital.

The suspect took off toward the subways.

The same incidents occurring targeting victims by suspects snooping around the mall has increased complaints from local retailers.

Police are advising all to stay alert.
