Rite Aid to change name to Walgreens

On Tuesday, September 26, a press statement was disclosed of Federal Trade Commission approved the purchase of 1,900 Rite Aid stores mainly in the east coast region by Walgreens for $4.4 billion dollars. The deal was announced in 2015 pending regulatory approval. The name change will start in October and expected to be completed by next year. All the stores in NY are affected.
