Resident woke to shots fired in Elmont

Nassau County police were called to James Street in Elmont around 11:30pm after hearing multiple gunshots fired in front of his home. The resident peeked outside and saw a male going back and forth in front of his sidewalk with phone. Police arrived shortly and reported a vehicle on the street has been hit by bullets. The search for suspect is ongoing.
