Released for car theft stole another one causing injuries in Queens

On Thursday night around 9:30pm, a suspect was arrested along with another in a stolen vehicle in St. Albans after the resulting collision injured four police officers. This is at the intersection of Baisley Blvd and Merrick Blvd. The 20 year old suspect was arrested on Wednesday in Brooklyn for a stolen auto and was released without bail and a court appearance ticket. Then on Thursday, police identified the vehicle on the road was stolen and ordered to pull over but the suspect refused. This is when the vehicle crashed into the unmarked police car. The suspect was taken into custody with slew of charges. The four officers were treated for minor injuries and released.
