R I P to Atlantic and Liberty Avenue Exits on VWE

Governor Cuomo's plan to add HOV lanes on Van Wyck Expressway in both directions between JFK and Kew Garden Interchange will outline closure of Atlantic Avenue exit ramp northbound and Liberty Avenue southbound. The $1.2 billion dollars project is in the early stage of development. HOV, Highway Occupancy Vehicles will be open mostly for cabs with three or more people. Drivers who get on the highway at Liberty Avenue will have to use the on-ramps at either 101st Avenue or Linden Boulevard instead and those who get off at Atlantic Avenue will have to exit at Liberty Avenue or Jamaica Avenue.
