Queens woman shot by NYPD cops after picking up berzerk brothers knife family

According to family members who spoke with The Post, a Queens lady had just disarmed her brother, who had "snapped" and sliced several other family members, when she was shot by police officers responding to the chaotic event.

Edward Grant, Shanequa Donovan's boyfriend, stated Saturday that after her 48-year-old brother, Rashaun Donovan, reportedly started attacking family members in their Jamaica home on Friday night, Shanequa Donovan called 911.

The 38-year-old lady, according to police and family, even poked her head out of a window and threw her keys down to officers to let them into the house on 149th Street in Jamaica when they got there about 9:45 p.m.

According to Grant, when cops who tracked screams to a tiny attic bedroom discovered her and Grant attempting to hold Donovan down, she had managed to seize the knife her brother had been carrying and was still holding it.

He claimed the police instructed the group to lay down on the ground.
