Queens woman killed after hit and run in Manhattan

Police reported a 29 year old female with three children died after struck by vehicle in Chelsea, Manhattan. The incident happened around 5am on 7th Avenue. The victim was crossing the street to go home after her job at Whole Foods store. The driver took off after dragging her 50 feet. She has been identified as Maria Christina Villacres.
Update - As of August 4, police arrested Joseph Chery, 61 of Brooklyn and charged with ht and run. More charges are pending due to ongoing investigation. .
