Queens suspect busted for multiple burglaries in New Hyde Park

The NCPD reports the arrest of a Queens man on August 11, 2021 at 11:10 P.M. for a Burglary in Bellmore. 

According to Burglary Pattern Detectives, Police were dispatched for a suspicious person that was climbing onto the roof of a Jewelry store located on Bedford Avenue.  The subject, now known as defendant Sean Smith, 40 of 115-19 Bedell Street, fled before Officer arrival but was soon after located and placed under arrest without incident.  Following a thorough Police investigation, it was determined that defendant Sean Smith was responsible for multiple burglaries that occurred at the following times and locations:

August 10, 2021, at Chandni Restaurant, 721 Elmont Road, Elmont 

August 9, 2021, at Flawless Beauty Salon, 1177 Broadway Road, Hewlett

August 9, 2021, at Woodmere Lanes, 948 Broadway Road, Hewlett

August 9, 2021, at Woodmere Farms, 1102 Broad Road, Woodmere

August 5, 2021, at Cure Med Pharmacy, 2020 Lakeville Road, North New Hyde Park

August 3, 2021, at Derrick’s Auto Repair, 268-08 Hillside Avenue, Floral Park Centre

August 3, 2021, at Chef Wang restaurant, 1902 Jericho Turnpike, New Hyde Park

August 2, 2021, at Derrick’s Auto Repair, 268-08 Hillside Avenue, Floral Park Centre

July 29, 2021, at Maharani Supermarket, 1620 Hillside Avenue, North New Hyde Park

July 24, 2021, at Hewlett Jewelers, 1344 Broadway, Hewlett

July 21, 2021, at American Drive in Cleaners, 1345 Peninsula Boulevard, Hewlett 

July 10, 2021, at Thomas Poomkudy DDS, 248-50 Jericho Turnpike, Bellerose Terrace

July 9, 2021, at RAI Design, 2150 Jericho Turnpike, Garden City Park

July 9, 2021, at Sansone Market, 2147 Jericho Turnpike, Garden City Park

Defendant Sean Smith is charged with thirteen counts of Burglary 3rd degree and three counts of Attempted Burglary 3rd degree.  He will be arraigned at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead on Friday, August 13, 2021.
