Queens nanny pleaded guilty for assaulting a 2 weeks old baby

Stacy Sakeran, 57 of Jamaica pleaded guilty to assaulting a 2 weeks old baby. The incident happened on June 2017 at a home in Searingtown, Nassau County. The baby's father, Sibi John called police when the baby was crying in pain late night after 1:30am. Further investigation from surveillance video showed Sakeran assaulting the baby as well as few days earlier. During her guilty plea, the baby's mother Ruby John stated in court, "You were starving and abusing her, you slapped her, you shook her, you abused my baby while I was in the house." Sakeran told the court, " I am very, very sorry." As part of the plea deal, Sakeran is heading to prison for 1 to 3 years.
