Queens mass shooting leaves 10 teens wounded outside NYC event space police say

Law enforcement is on the lookout for four individuals following their gunfire directed at a group of 15 people gathered outside an event venue in Jamaica, Queens.

In the incident, which occurred shortly after 11:15 p.m. on New Year's Day near the Amazura Concert Hall on 144th Place, ten teenagers sustained injuries.

"Last night in Queens, a vigil for a young person lost to gun violence turned into a nightmare as assailants opened fire on the assembly, impacting several youths who are currently receiving medical care. This cannot become our reality. We are cooperating with officials to ensure the offenders are held accountable," stated Governor Kathy Hochul.
