Queens man sentenced to jail for shooting NYPD officer in Jamaica

The man accused of shooting an NYPD officer in April 2023 was sentenced to 39 years to life in prison, Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz announced Monday.

Devin Spraggins, 24, was convicted of attempted murder in the first degree, and aggravated assault of a police officer, among other charges.
