Queens man charged with fatal hit and run after fleeing scene in Schenectady

The driver police believe was involved in a fatal hit & run crash that claimed the life of an 8-year-old child has been arrested.

On the evening of March 19, 2025, at the intersection of Chrisler Avenue and Crane Street. Schenectady police officers responded to the scene at approximately 7:38 p.m. and found the child unresponsive. He was transported to Ellis Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
