Queens man arrested after threatening employee at Floral Park auto store

Floral Park - Police were called to 2 Jericho Turnpike on Monday, April 3rd around 8:30am when Royce Potts, 46 of Queens walked out of the store without paying for windshield wiper blades. The location was Advance Auto next to the motel. A worker confronted outside and Potts took out a knife threatening him who stepped back and called police. Police located Potts vehicle in front of Bellerose Inn on 249th Street and Jericho Turnpike. He was taken into custody. Potts is charged with robbery, weapon possession and other charges.
