Queens fugitive busted at JFK for being on the run for 25 years

Freddy Guerra was arrested at JFK on Tuesday, May 22 by authorities for being a fugitive on the run for 25 years. Guerra, then 18 wanted for shooting the owner of Willie's Hardware and Building Supply Store inn Queens on September 16, 1992 and then stole cash and other items. The owner, Lieb Zaban survied and lived a long life except his widow was notified of the arrest. Guerra was residing in Dominican Republic working as a mechanic for 25 years. After Guerra's arrest, he posted bail and then left the country. Now he is remanded at Rikers Island.
