Queens Village mother and son busted for selling fake cancer cure fruit online

Police arrested Jason Vale, 51 and his mother Barbara Vale out of their Queens Village home after authorities received complaints of fake cancer cure by selling God's fruit in form of apricot seeds.

The website, apricotsfromgod.info was selling the "fake" seeds despite the authorities warned him to shut down the operation. This is not the first time he is been arrested. He was arrested for the same incident and spent 5 years in jail.

He resumed the bogus operation again in 2013. This time he setup a website with Paypal using his mother's name. For each transaction, they collected $259 plus shipping for apricot seeds, vitamin bottles and pamphlet explaining the alleged cure.

Between January 2015 and September 2019, they made over $850,000.

The apricot seed contains laetrile often misstated of curing cancer but no claim has backed by the FDA.

Vale is a former arm wrestling champion.

When authorities raided their home on 234 Street near Hillside Avenue, they found liquid in the garage which were hazardous materials.

After Vale's arrest, he was taken to a local hospital. He told authorities the seeds cured his cancer back in 1994 and it works.
