Queens Village man busted for assaulting Uber driver

Emilio Carpenay, 25 of Queens Village was arrested on January 28 and charged with criminal mischief and assault.

The incident happened on January 18 around 1:20pm when Carpenay while riding his bicycle allegedly started banging on the driver's window when an Uber driver tried to turn to East 40th Street on 5th Avenue.

After turning, Carpenay followed the driver and smashed his window and struck him in the head with a bike lock when the 23 year old victim got outside of his car. Then climbed on top of the car and jumped around. From there, he took off. The driver was taken to hospital with injuries.
