QR code required to see Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center

December 2 at 8pm, the Christmas tree will be lit at the Rockefeller Center and its not open to the public but online for all.

After the tree is lit, the public can view for 5 minutes starting December 3 and then security will tell you to leave. To do this, visit the main entrance at the following location, 49th and 50th Streets at 5th and 6th Avenues between 6am and midnight. Then place your phone set with camera function to the QR code and hang around until a text alert of time is received to be back on the entrance spot. Security will check the QR code and escort to the tree for 5 minutes and then leave.

Each spot is set by delineated pods for social distancing. The tree will remain until the first week of January 2021.

This is same as placing your phone camera to the QR code in the restaurant to see the menu as many have opted out papers.
