Public workshop dates announced for waterfront around Queens

The NYC Dept of Transportation in partnership with Parks and the Economic Development Corporation is undertaking a planning process to close the gaps in current bike and pedestrian infrastructure in Queens and make it easier for residents to access parkland and waterways. When complete, the Queens Waterfront Greenway will constitute a continuous, 16-mile corridor connecting Gantry Plaza State Park to Astoria Park along the East River and continue to Fort Totten following the Long Island Sound.

There will be 4 workshops for the public to participate that will outline the details of the projects the city is working on.

October 8 from 6 to 8pm at Bohemian Beer Hall for Gantry Plaza State Park to Bowery Bay.

October 16 from 6 to 8pm at Glow Cultural Center for Bowery Bay to Willets Point.

October 24 from 6 to 8pm at Alley Pond Park Environmental Center for Willets Point to Fort Totten.

October 29 from 6 to 8pm with Zoom for all sections.
