Protest on Roosevelt Avenue

There will be a protest on Roosevelt Avenue between 103 and 133 streets in Elmhurst to Corona for La Jornada, a non-profit firm that had their fund cut along with many others from the federal government. The organization provides free food to families in Jackson Heights, Corona, Elmhurst and its vicinity. Local politicians are outraged since its their voters. Roosevelt Avenue is expected to be closed. Drivers are advised to use alternate routes. The protest is from 10am to all day until sunset. Refreshments will be served by local politicians from taxpayers fund. Open to the public.
