Protest in East Meadow

Nassau County Police confirmed there will be a protest in East Meadow after the group gathered on Hempstead Turnpike today at 4pm. Motorists be advised to expect traffic delays today starting at 5:30 PM on Hempstead Turnpike, East Meadow Avenue, Carmine Avenue and the surrounding vicinity due to protest. There may also be closures on nearby Parkways. Motorists should travel on alternate roadways when possible.


Update - Also in Oceanside
Motorists be advised to expect traffic delays today starting at 6:00 PM in Oceanside near the intersection of Davison Avenue and Long Beach Road and the surrounding vicinity due to peaceful demonstrations. There may also be closures on nearby Parkways. Motorists should travel on alternate roadways when possible.
