Press brief from the NYC mayor and governor

NYPD or NYC Sheriff CANNOT enforce protesters or any civilian outside except for riots for not wearing masks or social distance enforcements. NYC mayor will not enforce since undertaking this issue will not hold in any level of courts. For this, no civilians were fined in NYC for not wearing masks or not practicing social distancing. The governor has not outlined his next step on fining civilians. So for fining $15,000 is not enforceable but a warning to mass gathering in public.

The mayor repeated what the governor stated yesterday of red, orange and yellow colors to follow for NYC. The mayor repeated the governor's words, red zones will have schools closed and take out food only at restaurants. Orange zones will have schools closed, outdoor dining only and businesses such as gyms closed. Yellow zones will have both schools and businesses open. The enforcement will start tomorrow morning and businesses will receive update from the mayor's office to close or NYC sheriffs wll do it. This will go to 20 zip codes in Brooklyn and Queens.

Mayor's response whether Cuomo wants his job after trying to usurp his authority, "I wouldn't urge anyone to want to be Mayor of New York City. It's a very challenging moment."

About 8 candidates are lining up for the next mayoral election.

Cuomo's press brief emphasized on the data of coronavirus and budget believing Biden will win and take over the Senate to pass the stimulus for NY.
