Police release details on the male found dead near Alley Pond Park

The NYPD released information on a male found dead inside a vehicle by the local Alley Pond Park. This is by Douglaston Parkway near the DSNY Queens operation base by Grand Central Parkway. The incident was reported on March 17 around 1:30am. Local sanitation workers alerted police of a male inside a vehicle while it was struck in front of a garbage truck that was parked on the side overnight on Douglaston Parkway.

EMS transported the driver to a local hospital where he died of injuries. Police say there were no other occupants inside the vehicle.

The dead 22 year old male has been identified as a South Ozone Park resident.

The investigation continues.
