Police officer stabbed in South Ozone Park

Police closed off 127th Street in South Ozone Park reporting a police officer has been stabbed. This is by 135th Avenue.

One suspect in custody.

EMS is on a rush to transport the officer to Jamaica Hospital. The route to the hospital is setting up with road closure.

Police didn't disclose what esclated to the stabbing due to ongoing investigation.

Update - Police stated the cop was off duty was outside his home when an EDP entered the premise. The cop told the EDP to leave and took out a knife. The EDP is in custody.
