Police involved shooting in Long Island

The NCPD reporting a male has been shot in Amityville. This is on Buchanan Avenue near Montauk Highway. Two police officers on duty were injured but not shot. The perp displayed a knife and was threatening the cops. Calls came in for a domestic violence at a home on the block. EMS is working on the scene. Both officers are being transported to local hospitals. Ongoing investigation.
