Police are warning of the number 516 227 9697

Police reported a new scam of calls coming from Nassau County Dept of Health but they are not. The number is listed as (516) 227-9697 posing as a health care representative asking for private details of people living in the house from social security number to other info. If anyone receives such calls, they are advised to call 911 and report. This is their press statement, Please be informed that the main telephone number to the Nassau County Department of Health (Information & Referral 227-9697) has been ?spoofed?. Calls are going out to the public which reflect the DOH?s main I&R number, although they are not the one?s making the calls. NCDOH has informed Nassau County Department of Information & Technology and Nassau County Police of this scam.
