Police alert in Glen Oaks warning residents

Police are on constant patrol in Glen Oaks after reports of multiple burglaries and burglary attempts. At the same time, local retailers including the library reported thefts or personal items missing.

The incidents were reported from the second week of May to the current scenario. According to workers, if they confront or approach theft suspects, they are fired on the spot without hesitation due to insurance regulations.

There were harassments also reported on the stretch of Union Turnpike.

Also, residents in the vicinity of Union Turnpike, Little Neck, Langston Avenue, 260th Street by the public park reported burglaries.

Several residents reported of having people with backpacks sleeping in their yards including backyards.

Police are advising residents to stay alert of their surroundings.
