Police activity in Bayside after fatality

Cross Island Parkway service road by the Fort Totten closed due to fatality. Multiple fire trucks in the walking path of Fort Totten Avenue reporting vehicle accident involving a pedestrian. EMS confirmed one dead at the local hospital. The incident occurred before 8:30pm. Ongoing investigation.

Update - A vehicle stopped to help the pedestrian who was on the bike after falling down and called 911. Another call came in with a pedestrian landed on the sidewalk face down with injuries.
