Plattsburgh male arrested for assault 3rd and criminal mischief 3rd

On October 23, 2024, State Police members arrested Ernest J. Elliott, age 61, of Plattsburgh, NY for assault 3rd, and criminal mischief 3rd.

On October 23, 2024, at approximately 5:42 a.m., Troopers responded to Oakland Drive in the town of Plattsburgh for a domestic dispute.  An investigation determined Elliott and the victim were involved in a verbal argument, which led to physical when Elliott grabbed the victim by the hair, pushed the victim onto the couch, and punched the victim in the eye.  The victim was able to get away from Elliot, and Elliott took the victim's phone, and when the victim could see the phone, it was broken.

Elliott was arrested and transported to SP Plattsburgh for processing.  He was arraigned in the Town of AuSable Court, where he was remanded to Clinton County Jail.
