Plastic bag ban resumes tomorrow

Stores will stop giving plastic bags to hold your grocery to other items starting tomorrow when the ban resumes tomorrow, October 19. The brief stop was due to the pandemic and 5 cents will be charged for every paper bag per use by retailers from supermarkets to mom and pop stores. Everyone will have to bring their own bags or walk with items without bags after paying.

This is for the entire NY state unless local government decides not to. NYC is in full force. A lawsuit filed by bodega and bag manufacturing companies will have their hearing on November 4 to stop this.
