Person fatally struck by subway train in Jamaica

A person was fatally struck by a subway train in Queens during the morning rush on Wednesday.

The incident happened near the Parsons Boulevard subway station around 6:15 a.m.according to police statement.

The individual was pronounced dead at the scene. Additional details of the victim have not been released.

It is not known at this time what led up to the fatal incident.

E, F, M and R trains were running with delays in both directions following the incident. Manhattan-bound trains have since resumed making regular stops.
