Perp in custody after standoff in Kew Garden Hills

The NYPD reported a perp has been apprehended after barricading inside an apartment in Kew Garden Hills. The incident started around 11:30am this morning when detectives were investigating a burglary case and tracked the perp to a location at the Pomonok, part of the NYCHA public housing on Parsons Blvd near 65th Avenue.

ESU worked to control the situation by 2:30pm.

EMS reported no injuries.

Traffic is now normal on Parsons Blvd.

This is across the local college.

The investigation continues.
