Permit filed for a new name center in Flushing

The parking lot and shopping center at 46-15 Kissena Blvd in Flushing has the owner filed for a new 8 story mixed commercial use building.

The new name will be called The Kissena Center with rentals, ground floor for commercial, parking lot and a community center.

The proposal would have to be approved by NYC building dept. The plan includes 244 apartments and 25 to 30% would be reserved for affordable housing.

If approved, the entire project is expected to be complete by 2021. The plans are filed by New Hyde Park company, Kimco Realty.
