Pedestrian struck by vehicle dead in Hicksville

The Homicide Squad reports the details of a Vehicular Accident Involving a Pedestrian that occurred on Monday, September 30, 2019 at 7:54 p.m. in Hicksville.

According to detectives, a 35-year-old male was crossing the street from south to north at the intersection of Old Country Rd. and S. Broadway when he was struck by a 2017 Nissan Altima that was traveling westbound. The driver of the vehicle, a 90-year-old female, remained at the scene. The vehicle was impounded for a brake and safety check.

The victim suffered multiple serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital.

The identity of the victim is being withheld at this time. The investigation is ongoing. (From NCPD)
