Over 2 000 trees are down in NYC with road closures

NYC mayor reported over 2,000 trees are damaged in NYC and power outage. ConEd is working to restore power. Residents are advised to stay home until 5pm.
As for local routes, police have closed off Hillside Avenue and 247 Street westbound reporting a large tree fell. No vehicles were damaged. One lane eastbound open for traffic. DOT enroute. Also, on Commonwealth Blvd by 81st Avenue reporting small branch on the road.
Reporting trees down in various locations in Glen Oaks, Bellerose, Floral Park, Little Neck, etc.
Marathon Parkway is closed due to large tree down. Also, Bell Blvd, LIE service road after Utopia Parkway, etc.
