Only five elected officials stood up for NYPD in the water dousing incidents

Five elected NYC Council officials, Kalma Yeger, Eric Ulrich, Paul Vallone, Bob Holden and Mark Gjonaj had a press statement on July 23 to support NYPD and were disgusted after water buckets were doused on members of the blue in NYC. President Trump criticized Mayor de Blasio but rebuffed stating he condemn the act and arrests will be made. Of all the incidents who were arrested were released with a misdemeanor charge except one who is a son of a correction officer posted $3,500 bail. One of the critical voice on NYPD against de Blasio, Vickie Paladino of Queens had this statement,
Our City Cops are being made fools of for the 3rd day in row by being drenched in Neighborhoods in Brooklyn & Manhattan. We the Demand a Statement from our Police Commissioner Strongly Denouncing these acts. They will face severe consequences for their actions. This is called Assult. Last I checked that?s a crime!
This has become a City with no laws. No Consequences!
This must STOP!
Stand up to this MAYOR and stand with your Men & Woman who fight for the People of this City everyday!
We want him to Come out of Hiding.
