One staff tested positive at Francis Lewis High School will not be closed

According to NYC Dept of Education, a minimum of 2 staffs tested positive will lead to school closure for 24 hours. As of yesterday from September 8, there 56 positive cases and the latest is one staff at Francis Lewis High School. Of 56 positive cases, 10 are in Queens. All staffers tested positive are currently home in isolation. Also, the city's test and tracer is working with them to track down who were in contact with them. The school is on schedule to open on September 21 for children in-person and today was soft opening remotely.

P.S. 90 Horace Mann in Richmond Hill

I.S. 230 in Jackson Heights

P.S. 111 Jacob Blackwell in Long Island City

P75Q @ 276 Robert E. Peary School in Jamaica
