One person shot in Hempstead

The Nassau County Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at 2:49 P.M. in Hempstead.

According to Police, officers responded to the vicinity of Terrace Avenue for the report of shots fired. Upon arrival officers located a male victim, 29, that had been shot in the left leg. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment. The investigation is ongoing.
