One of the pedestrian struck by vehicle died in East Elmhurst

Police have closed off the intersection of 31st Avenue and 100th Street reporting two children struck by vehicle with one dead. The incident occurred around 4:15pm in East Elmhurst.

EMS transported one to a local hospital and the medical examiner transported the other pending autopsy.

ESU and Highway CIS are working on the scene.

Ongoing investigation.
